Unnai Kann Theduthey ( The Search) tell the story of a young archeologist who is on his journey to find his long lost father. Facing most dangerous and challenging obstacle, he keeps on going to look for his father who only left a map as a clue. Will he find his father? Or will he give up?

How the story goes?

Searching his long lost father, the young Archeologist has to go through a lot of obstacles and tasks to get to his father. With only a map and a locket given by his father, tha main lead continues his search. at the point where he wants to give up, the main lead rethinks of the reasons why he is actually here.

WHATS NEW?

1. LOCATION

Padang Pasir Klebang, Melaka

As required by the script, it needs a desert like place to be shoot. Knowing the limit of the budget, the production team decided to shoot at Padang Pasir Klebang, which is location in the centre of Melaka. This helped us save more budget and the location can be said something new. Less production shooting happened at the location and this could be a new move in the short film industry too. As return, we decided to promote this place as it is a tourism place.

2. GENRE ( FANTASY, THRILLER)

Unnai Kann Theduthey (The Search) is a treasure hunt film and falls in the genre of fantasy thriller. This is considered on of a new move as most of the short films focused more on horror, romance, family and action genres. This brings a new vision on the short film industry that a fantasy film could be achieved whitin small budget without compromising it's quality.

Our Main Mission

Recognition for upcoming filmmakers as they can expand their talents and ability.This prokect can be a great portfolio for the crew and actors in their career as it could reach various platforms, such as internet and possibly Astro (Malaysian Tv stations) as the negotiations are still going on. We are also dedicated to make a change to the Malaysian Tamil Film industry in terms of story telling and filmmaking preseption. If a success, our project will be an upcoming feature will too.

Who doesn't like recognition and fame? As a growing filmmaker community, we are creating a strong portfolio for our future career. This movie can be a good platfrom for us to establish our talents and skills

We are now aiming on receiving numerous recognitions by sending our films to notable film festivals and award functions.

WHY CROWDFUNDING?

1. We are creating an awareness among Malaysian Tamil filmmakers, that crowfunding option is a covinient method.

2. We need people to be part of this film, as it ia a new discovery for it's genre.

3. As freash graduates, we are seeking platforms for the funding for our short films. As a start, we are trying this medium as a possible funding method.

A small amoumt can make big changes. As upcomming filmmakers, we like your support throughout this projects.

Crew could be a challenge where all the crew should be recruited. The equipment rental in Malaysia is also expensive, as it is prepared for only feature film. However, this could be overcome as minimal equipments could be rented or borrowed from some resources. We are facing some recognition problem as we are still fresh graduates. However, we decide to seeks numerous platforms such as crowdfunding for us to explore our taltns and skills. As stated, this project will be expanded more as a telemovie, or even a feature film and give numerous job oppurtunities to the upcoming film school graduates.
